Meet Jaime

Therapist - Registered Psychotherapist & Certified Addictions Technician

Hello! My name is Jaime and I have been in the psychotherapy and substance abuse counseling fields for over four years. I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology with an emphasis on mental health counseling from the University of Northern Colorado, and I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in clinical counseling.

Our experiences with grief, abuse, dysfunctional family structures, familial addictions and other traumas are unique and complex. I am committed to helping adolescents and adults identify the core issues that contribute to maladaptive behaviors like substance abuse, emotional dysregulation, avoidance, defiance, and others.

My therapeutic approach is rooted in accountability. I provide empathetic, direct and honest information and deliver it in real talk. I believe that wholeness and balance is possible through effective and honest communication, emotional intelligence, humor and self-awareness.

I am a Colorado native and a mom of two sons, ages 17 and 20. I recently got married, and my husband brought with him a wicked smart 10-year-old granddaughter and an adventurous 6-year-old grandson. And rounding out the house is Eleanor, our loud and lazy basset hound.

I love art in many forms; photography, painting, drawing, writing and jewelry-making are my favorites. I’m an avid fly-fisherman and a huge hockey fan…GO AVS and GO EAGLES! I also love to ride horses and I always have music playing, even if it’s just in my head.

I use humor to understand most things. I love dragonflies, bees, sloths and dogs. In fact, I am one of those people that talks to every dog I see and will ALWAYS stop everything to look at photos or videos of your dog! One of my proudest moments was finishing dead last in a Spartan Military Sprint OCR. I can’t wait to hear about yours!
