Meet Leah

My name is Leah Christ, and I’m a social worker and therapist at Grace In Balance. I was born and raised in small-town Iowa. I graduated from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa with my Bachelor of Arts Degree (with a major in social work) in 2019.

After graduation, I moved to Denver to pursue my Master of Social Work Degree. I graduated from the University of Denver in 2020. I am a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) and I have a certificate in Animal Assisted Social Work through the University of Denver.

 

Colorado has been my home for quite a few years now, and I much prefer the mountain views to the cornfields of Iowa.

I am passionate about the social work profession and I’m excited to be on this team! Most of my experience has been working with children. I find that working with children is both impactful and fun. I have a nephew who keeps me updated on all things related to superheroes and dinosaurs.

 

In my free time, I enjoy reading, working out, or looking for the best thrift finds and records. I also love hanging out with my cat, Ziggy.
