And one for the road
What started as pleasure becomes a need. What was once a bad mood has become continuous self-indictment. What was once an annoyance becomes persecution. Inverse learning strengthened by stimuli activating the same neural networks prompts us to repeat the same destructive thoughts and behaviors.
“There is a thin veil between a desire and a habit. What once was a want, has turned to a need.”
Putting it all together
Mitigating the perception of reality in the emersion of pleasure or out of the urgency of need to escape? Or is this a mere stage in which to perform for the adoring crowd upon? Absence is the aphrodisiac of the soul, the desire or the urge to fill the void becomes the quest and forms the armor of the EGO’s identity. Chaos becomes the norm as does the inability to function without it. Sub-consciously seeking out situations that will fill the void with the anticipation and participation in what has become chaos of the mind.
Is this who I am or what I have become? Is there a difference?
